Adil Ahmed R. is a seasoned Quality Engineer with over 6 years of experience in the medical device industry. He is a Mechanical Engineer by profession and has extensive knowledge of quality processes, design and manufacturing, and risk management procedures. Adil has successfully led and executed multiple projects simultaneously while working with large cross-functional teams. He has worked on both hardware and software quality projects related to medical devices, making him knowledgeable in process validation, manufacturing-related topics, as well as Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities. Adil is well-versed with quality and risk management regulations such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and has a good understanding of quality system, tools, and practices. He is also well-versed in medical device software life cycle processes such as IEC 62304, development and verification activities for software. Adil is familiar with other standards such as IEC 60601 for essential performance of electrical equipment and IEC 62366 usability engineering of medical devices. Currently, Adil is working as a Sr. Software Quality Engineer at Boston Scientific. In his previous roles, he has worked as a Sr. Quality Design Engineer at Abiomed and as a Design Quality Assurance Engineer at Verotech Solutions, LLC (Client: Medtronic). At Abiomed, Adil supported quality engineering activities for the development of Impella heart pump. He performed review of failure investigations of field issues, participated in Material Review Board (MRB) for disposition of incoming and in-process material defects, and provided software quality engineering support for product and process software. At Verotech Solutions, LLC, Adil oversaw the product development activities, ensuring that design controls are implemented, reviewing design inputs, design outputs, verification, and validation documents, and conducting risk management activities. Adil holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Coleman University. He also has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rajalakshmi Engg. College, Anna University, India. Adil's tech stack includes QA and Software Engineering.
